Dust
Evans Grandmaitre a name that has become synonymous with commitment to
community and professionalism in the practice of law. With
roots in Orléans dating back to 1978, the name Dust Evans Grandmaittre has come
to stand for quality legal services and a strong commitment to the community.
The firm’s offices are located on St. Joseph Boulevard between the Caisse Populaire
and the Orléans Medical Center. While
the firm is well known for its extensive real estate practice, it also offers
expertise in wills, powers of attorney, estates, estate planning, business law,
franchise law and employment law. The firm’s three lawyers are supported by a
dedicated and experienced bilingual team of support staff. Gerry
Dust is a resident of Navan who has lived and practiced in the Orléans area
since 1978. A graduate of the University of Western Ontario in Economics and Business
Administration, Mr. Dust completed his law degree at Queen's University in Kingston
and was called to the Bar in 1978.
He
set up his first practice in Orléans in 1979 and has been serving the legal
needs of local residents ever since. Mr.
Dust's practice is broad-based, including residential and commercial real estate,
leasing, business law, employment law, wills, estates, and estate planning. He
also serves as the firm's managing partner.
Brad
Evans was born and raised in Cumberland and began practicing law in the community
in 1980 after being called to the Bar that same year. His main areas of expertise
are wills and powers of attorney, estates, residential and commercial real estate,
leases, and corporate/commercial law.
Over the years
Mr. Evans has
successfully acted as an arbitrator involving commercial and estate-related disputes.
He has also developed expertise in the law relating to churches and other not-for-profit
associations. Philippe
Grandmaitre is a life-long resident of Navan with strong family ties in rural
Cumberland and the Vanier area. A graduate of the Civil Law, Common Law and National
Programs at the University of Ottawa, Mr. Grandmaitre was called to the Bar in
July 2006.
His main
areas of practice include residential and commercial real estate, corporate law,
employment law, wills, estates, estate planning and Small Claims Court litigation. Marc
Ouimet-McPherson is a graduate of the Common Law program at the University
of Ottawa. He was called to the Bar in June 2009. His areas of practice include
residential and commercial real estate, corporate law, wills, estates, collections
and Small Claims Court litigation.
Prior
to his law studies, Marc earned a Bachelor's degree with honours in History. Born
and raised in Ottawa, he iis dedicated to helping others both professionally and
in the community.
The
firm supports many community endeavors. Leading the list are its Platinum Sponsorship
of the Orléans-Cumberland Community Resource Centre’s Community Caring Club. They
are also involved in a long list of community organizations including the Orléans
Chamber of Commerce, the Business Club d’Orléans, and the Navan Community Association.
Brad Evans currently
sits on the Board of Directors of the Gloucester Arts Council as well as serving
as a director of the Heart of Orléans Business Improvement Association. Gerry
Dust recently completed a three year term on the Board of Directors for the Ottawa
Congress Centre and Philippe Grandmaitre currently sits on the Board of Directors
of the Navan Community Association and is the President of the Pioneer 3 Pitch
League in Navan. Dust
