An Entirely Unique
Shopping Experience

It's been more than three years since Glen Harris and Bob Desjardins became the proud owners of Laura's Corner. Since then they have continued to build on the success and reputation the store has earned for its unique home and garden furnishings and personable service.

Located on the corner of Trim and Colonial Roads in the quaint east end village of Navan, the store has become well known for its collection of "country chic” furnishings, decorative accessories, original art by local artists, kitchen and bedroom linens and gourmet specialty foods, which sets Laura's Corner apart from the more contemporary home furnishing stores and ahead of the pack.

Before taking over Laura's Corner, Harris and Desjardins were regular clients. As such they came to appreciate the ambience, selection and charm of the store which is located in the former Shaw House on the corner of Trim and Colonial Road in the quaint east end village of Navan.

"It's such a wonderful place with a tremendously loyal clientele. We're extremely fortunate," says Desjardins, whose favourite part about the business is when customers stumble upon a new treasure.

Located just 10 minutes from Orléans, Laura's Corner caters to both recent arrivals looking to furnish their new home and established homeowners wanting to redecorate.

As you walk through the store, each room offers a new surprise. In the old kitchen you can find specialty foods and distinctive knick-knacks, while a stroll down the hall will take you to the old parlour and the front room which is dominated by comfortable furnishings.

Upstairs one can find more unique furnishings and accessories as well as samples of some of the original artwork by local artists including Stephen Rothwell and Doreen Hardiman.

What is great about Laura's Corner is that each season brings a new array of merchandise and furnishings so that every time you visit you are bound to find something new and exciting.

Laura's Corner also has their own resident interior designer who can help you bring out your home's personality! The design service is an affordable solution for people who want to create a comprehensive plan for their newly-purchased home, or want to makeover their current abode. In-house consultations are also available.

One of the newer services they provide at Laura's Corner is a secure online store which you can visit at www.laurascorner.ca/store/. There you will you find a number of unique online product offerings which you can purchase with confidence. You can also arrange delivery to anywhere in the Ottawa region for a flat fee of $19.95 per order.
