The name Leeming is synonymous with excellence in dance. For more than 20 years the Leeming Danceworks studio in Orléans has been producing top notch competitive dancers while providing a healthy, positive learning environment through fun and energetic classes at both the competitive and recreational levels.

Owner Sharon Leeming Mann and the dedicated staff at Leeming Danceworks are committed to providing the highest standards of dance instruction for those wishing to pursue a professional career to students who simply want to dance for recreational enjoyment.

Classes are offered for both male and female students from three years old to adults. Levels of instruction range from beginner to advanced in the various disciplines of kinderdance, tap, ballet, jazz and hip hop. Examination and competition results reflect the talents of the studio's highly qualified staff.

In the past four years, students have received the prestigious American Dance Awards Regional titles of “Dancer of the Year” 15 times, as well as Mini Miss, Mini Mister, Junior Miss, Junior Mister & Teen Mister Candance, from 2000 to 2005.

Most recently they received the top overall marks in four different categories at the Ottawa Regional CanDance competition held in April 2007, including junior solo female, top intermediate solo male, top senior small group and top production. The studio was also rewarded for having the best artistic program and placed second in junior small group, junior duet or trio and senior small group.

The opportunity to perform is offered to all Leeming Danceworks students during the Annual Dance Showcase recital held every spring, at various community and charity functions and in competitions.

Leeming Danceworks students have been accepted at the National Ballet and the Royal Winnipeg Ballet summer schools and to the Ryerson Dance Program. Former students have gone on to careers in teaching, performing and directing their own schools using the invaluable skills taught and opportunities offered at Leeming Danceworks.

Above all else the staff at Leeming Danceworks strives to instill a love of dance in all their students by guiding and nurturing them to their fullest potential.

In order to be able to better fulfill its mandate, the Leeming Danceworks studio has recently expanded to twice its former size, taking over an adjacent unit at their 1420 Youville Drive location.

Besides its regular line-up of classes, Leeming Danceworks also offers a Summer Camp program, guest teacher workshops and birthday parties for both students and non-students.
