Orléans country star Kira Isabella releases latest hit video

The latest music video from Kira Isabella's Caffeine & Big Dreams album was unveiled during a world broadcast premiere on CMT's Top 20 Countdown on Saturday. It's called 'Shake It If Ya Got It'.

Kira Isabella is hot, hot, hot. Fresh off the success of her debut single "Quarterback" from her latest album Caffeine & Big Dreams, the Orléans native unveiled the video for "Shake It If Ya Got It" during CMT's Top 20 Countdown on Saturday.

In the lead-in to the world broadcast premiere, Kira described the tune as a departure from her other singles, most notably "Quarterback" which dealt with the emotional subject of date rape.

"It's fun, young and energetic," Kira told Top 20 Countdown host Evan Farmer. "It's really just a party song. It was so much fun to shoot. We did it in Toronto and a couple of my friends were in it and my band."

To view a behind the scenes video of the making of "Shake If Ya Got It" visit https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MEQMp6-M2b4.

The song itself is destined to be another hit for the 21-year-old St. Peter High School alum following on the heels of "Quarterback" which Spin magazine declared "unequivocally the top country song of 2014".

Accolades like that continue to open the doors for Kira in the songwriting world. A subject she touched on in her interview with Farmer.

"It really opens doors, especially for writing. When people here that, they're a little more willing to let you come in and write with them and that's what I'm really excited about."

One of those people Kira plans to write with when she heads to Nashville later this month is fellow Canadian Mackenzie Porter. Both women have been nominated for the Juno Awards for Country Album of the Year

Kira was previously nominated for Breakthrough Artist of the Year in 2013. She also has two Canadian Country Music Association awards to her credit for Rising Star of the Year in 2012 and Female Artist of the Year in 2013.
