Professional alliance names Orléans doctor 'Chiropractor of the Year'

Since first launching her practice in 2001, Orléans chiropractor Dr. Nathalie Beauchamp has been a tireless champion of her profession and the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle in achieving one's overall wellness.

In 2006, she joined the Creating Wellness Alliance and transformed her practice into a Creating Wellness Centre. Not content to merely promote the concept of wellness within her own practice, Dr. Beauchamp has become a Creating Wellness ambassador, promoting the concept to groups both big and small.

In 2006 she organized the first Green Wellness Expo with co-founder Deborah MacDonald which promotes health products and the latest in healthy living services.

In 2007 she was a double recipient of the Orléans Peoples Choice Business Awards for Business Person of the Year and Professional Advisor of the Year.

In January 2008, she published her first book entitled "Wellness On the Go", with co-author Andrée Benson. The same year she was named as one of the Ottawa Business Journal's "Top 40 Under 40" and she received the Community Wellness Excellence Award at the Creating Wellness Alliance conference in Chicago.

She can now add another accolade to her growing list of accomplishments after being named "Chiropractor of the Year" at the Chiropractic Leadership Summit in Newark, New Jersey last month.

Dr. Beauchamp received the award in appreciation "for her leadership, commitment and vision in promoting the best interest of not just the chiropractic profession, but even more important, the best interests of the patients".

Dr. Patrick Gentempo Jr., cofounder and CEO of the Chiropractic Leadership Alliance, applauded Dr. Beauchamp for her accomplishments "not only as a chiropractor but as a human being".

"She is simply extraordinary," said Dr. Gentempo.

The Chiropractic Leadership Alliance represents over 8,000 chiropractic practitioners worldwide, which makes the award one of the top prizes in the profession.

"It's very humbling to be honest with you," says Dr. Beauchamp."To have been chosen from all the wonderful chiropractors that are part of the CLA family who are doing so many incredible things around the world for their
patients, as well as the health and wellness of the population, it's a tremendous honour."

Dr. Beauchamp has given the award a place of honour on the front desk of her reception area. Beauchamp Chiropractic: A Creating Wellness Centre is located in on Place d'Orléans Dr. across from the Orléans Urgent Care Clinic.
