Laura's Corner in Navan has a wide variety of unique gift items to fit any budget. Fred Sherwin/Photo

The secret is getting out. For the past four years, discerning shoppers looking for that unique Christmas gift for the hard to buy for individuals on their list have been driving out to Laura's Corner in the tiny east end hamlet of Navan.

The home decor specialty store is located in a white framed house on the corner of Trim and Colonial Road.

During the Chritsmas season the store is filled with hundreds of unique items that you will not find anywhere else. In fact, if the owners see one of their products being sold in another store they will stop ordering it.

It's impossible to walk through the quaint shop and not be overwhelmed by a sense of Christmas spirit. Co-owners Glen Harris and Bob Desjardins spend the better part of September shopping for distinct items to fill the store for the holiday season.

This year they outdid themselves as evident by some of the comments they've been receiving from customers. Among the diverse selection of gift items you will find at Laura's Corner are decorative stocking hangers, unique ornaments, ceramic Santas and framed prints of Forsty the Snowman.

Many of the items are priced in the $40-$70 range, however, there are hundreds of lower priced products that would make perfect stocking stuffers. Unfortunately, there are too many to mention here, but that would take all the fun out of viisiting the store in person and discovering all they have to offer.

To spark your interest here are just a few of the items you will find at Laura's Corner, 3470 Trim Rd. Store hours are Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Sunday 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday & Wednesday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Thursday & Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Closed Mondays.
