Westbound
174 to be partially closed between Champlain Rd. and Jeanne
d'Arc Blvd.
By Fred Sherwin
Orléans Online
The
lefthand lane along the westbound Hwy. 174 will closed
between Champlain Road and Jeanne d'Arc Blvd. for the
next seven days to allow for work to be done on one one
of the two sewers that run along the highway.
Digital
message signs will inform commuters of the work and will
advise motorists to merge to the right. The southbound
to westbound on-ramp from Champlain Street southbound
to Highway 174 will also be closed.
The
lane reduction is in place to allow crews to reline the
sewers which were identified for accelerated lining following
the storm sewer failure that resulted in the creation
of the sink hole and subsequent closure of the eastbound
lanes for one week. Motorists are advised to expect delays
and to adjust their travel time accordingly.

story was made possible thanks to their generous support
of our local business partners.)
