By Fred Sherwin
Orléans Online

After suffering through a week--long deep freeze, Ottawa residents can expect a mix bag of weather over the next three days starting with a snowstorm today.

Environment Canada is forecasting heavy snow begining mid-morning and lasting throughout the day with a total accumulation of between five and 10 centimetres.

The temperature is expected to rise to minus-9 degrees by mid-afternoon and stay there through this evening and into tomorrow when it will rise to minus-two. Freezing rain is in the forecast for tomorrow afternoon as the temperature continues to rise.

The temperature is expected to reach plus 14 by Wednesday when the forecast calls for rain.

By Thursday, the temperature will drop to plus 2 under partly cloudy skies abd then minus 8 on Friday..
