Charges
laid in fatal weekend accident

A
24-year-old male faces multiple charges after running
a stop sign at Dunning and Beaton roads early Sunday morning
and hitting another vehicle causing the death of a 54-year-old
woman.
Wassim
Outifrakh, 24, has been charged with one count of dangerous
operation of a motor vehicle causing death, driving with
over .08 with a fatality and one count of driving while
impaired causing death.
Outifrakh
was driving his Infiniti along Beaton Road at 7:45 a.m.
on Sunday when he struck a Chrysler Sebring being driven
by Janet Clermont who was pronounced dead at the scene
after suffering massive injuries.
Outifrakh
suffered a severe abdominal injury and was rushed to hospital
where he was treated and formally charged. He is expected
to make a video appearance in Court on March 14th.
