Bail hearing set for Orléans realtor charged with attempted murder

By Fred Sherwin
Orléans Online

Orléans realtor Chris Hoare will remain in jail for at least another week as he awaits his bail hearing which has been set for Friday. April 11.

Hoare made a brief video appearance in court on Friday. He has been charged with second degree murder for allegedly tricking his wife into closing her eyes in thei garage of their Convent Glen North home and then beating her with a baseball bat.

The Crown will attempt to have Hoare's bail denied by proving that he is either a flight risk, a danger to the public, or that keeping him locked up is necessary to maintain public confidence in the administration of justice.

He has already been issued a court order not to have any contact with five individuals including his wife, a brother and the neighbour who called 9-1-1.
