Ottawa police investigators want to interview two individuals, caught in the this surveillance photo, who they believe may have information about the stabbing death of Connor Stevenson. Photo supplied

The Ottawa Police Service is seeking the public's help in trying to identify a man and a woman they would like to question in connection with the stabbing death of Gloucester High School student Connor Stevenson.

The police have released a pair of surveilance photos taken in the elevator and lobby of the Jasmine Crescent apartment building where the stabbing took place last Tuesday.

The two individuals are both black and appear to be in their early 20s. The female was wearing black pants and a red parka with white fur around the hood. In the picture she also has a black hoodie over her head.

The male was wearing black sweat pants and a black hoodie with a black leather jacket, bright white shoes and a black backpack.

Neither individual is considered a suspect at this time. Rather the police believe they may have information which might lead to an arrest.

Stevenson, 18, was found in the stairwell near his sixth floor apartment at around 5 p.m. He had suffered multiple stab wounds to his chest and was pronounced dead after being rushed to the Montfort Hospital.

A web account was created to help raise money for the young man's funeral. So far, more 145 people have donated more than $8,000.
