The Colonel By Cougars senior boys soccer team suffered their second lopsided defeat of the season on Wednesday, falling 5-1 to the St. Pius X-Men two days after being shutout 4-0 by the Mother Teresa Titans.

The X-Men had the Cougars on their heels from the get go. Marco Natoli scored two goals for St. Pius in the opening 15 minutes before Colonel By was finally able to mount a counter attack.

The lone bright spot of the game for the Cougars came in the final few seconds of the first half when Marc Bitar scored off a corner kick to cut the X-Men lead to 2-1.

The second half was only four minutes old when Aaron Nkazzonnyi thread a perfect pass through to Natoli for his third goal of the game.

The X-Men would add a pair of penalty kicks in the second half, one by Nkazzonnyi and onother ne by Daniel Padovan, to make the final score 5-1.

The Cougars fall to 1-2 with the loss, while the X-Men are the only unbeaten team in the city at 3-0.

Colonel By will be looking to rebound against the Glebe Gryphons (1-2) next week and stay in the playoff picture. A loss would disastrous.
