Tournament of Hearts
Homan remains at the top of the ladder with win over B.C.

Team Homan posted a 7-3 win over B.C. at the
Scotties Tournament of Hearts this afternoon.

the lone unbeaten team in the competition

skip Rachel Homan and her team of Emma Miskew, Alison
Kreviazuk and Lisa Weagle Improved their record to 6-0
at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Montreal this
afternoon thanks to a 7-3 win over B.C.
Homan bided their time through the first seven ends, scoring
a pair of deuces in each of the second and sixth ends
with the hammer, while limiting their opponents to singles
in the third and seventh ends when they didn't.
B.C. team avoided disaster in the fifth end when a rare
Homan miss allowed them to steal a point rather than give
up three. Although the game was tied at the halfway point
it didn`t stay that way long as Homan came out of the
break and scored a deuce in the sixth to take the lead
game breaker came in the eight end when Homan and company
capitalized on a coupled of missed shots by the British
Columbia team to score three points and take a 7-3 lead,
Homan forced B.C. skip Kesa Van Osch to blank the ninth
end, the Ottawa foursome ran their opponents out of rocks
in the 10th for the win.
five draws remaining, including tonight`s draw when they
take on P.E.I,, Team Homan is still very much in control,
although they have both Manitoba, who they beat earlier
in the week, and Saskatchewan, who they play tomorrow
afternoon, nipping at their heels at 6-1.
