Orléans skip Rachel Homan and her team of Emma Miskew, Alison Kreviazuk and Lisa Weagle Improved their record to 6-0 at the Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Montreal this afternoon thanks to a 7-3 win over B.C.

Team Homan bided their time through the first seven ends, scoring a pair of deuces in each of the second and sixth ends with the hammer, while limiting their opponents to singles in the third and seventh ends when they didn't.

The B.C. team avoided disaster in the fifth end when a rare Homan miss allowed them to steal a point rather than give up three. Although the game was tied at the halfway point it didn`t stay that way long as Homan came out of the break and scored a deuce in the sixth to take the lead for good.

The game breaker came in the eight end when Homan and company capitalized on a coupled of missed shots by the British Columbia team to score three points and take a 7-3 lead,

After Homan forced B.C. skip Kesa Van Osch to blank the ninth end, the Ottawa foursome ran their opponents out of rocks in the 10th for the win.

With five draws remaining, including tonight`s draw when they take on P.E.I,, Team Homan is still very much in control, although they have both Manitoba, who they beat earlier in the week, and Saskatchewan, who they play tomorrow afternoon, nipping at their heels at 6-1.
