The Gloucester Hornets U14 regional girls team will advance to the third round of the ERSL Cup later this month thanks to a 4-0 win over their Premier Division clubmates on Wednesday.

After the two teams battled to a scoreless draw in the opening 40 minutes, the Impact exploded for four goals in the second half sparked by Lauren Ball's opening marker six minutes in.

Ball took a pass just inside the box, quickly turned and ripped a shot just inside the right post. Thirty minutes later, she chased a ball down deep in the Attack Gold's end and passed it back to Kenzie Hoffman who calmly scored her team leading 13th goal of the season.

Barely a minute later, Arianna Bassi put the regional team up 3-0 on a cross from the left wing. She would add another goal late in the game on a terrific lead pass through the middle.

Both teams were undefeated heading into the game. The Attack Gold sported a record of 7-0-1 in their first seven games with a +23 goal differential, while the Impact were 6-0-0 with a +27 goal differential.
