Knights improve record to 2-1 with lopsided win over Sir

St. Peter Knights junior boys rugby team showed their resiliency
on Thursday, bouncing back from a disappointing loss to
the Colonel By Cougars earlier in the week to down the Sir
Wilfrid Laurier Lancers 36-3.

The Knights lost to the Cougars after jumping out to a
14-0 lead and then briefly letting up to allow Colonel
By to get back into the game.

before the end of the first half.

in the second half with tries from Quinn Nadon and Brad
Pichette and a pair of converts by Aidan Bennett and Sam
Lancers avoided getting shutout when Jordan Hamilton made
good on a goal kick from 25 metres out at full-time to
make the final score 36-0.

Gunn, Pierre Hardy Gouombus, and Matt Byrne had one each.
junior Knights wrap up their regular season schedule with
games against the Cairine Wilson Wildcats and the St.
Patrick's Fighting Irish next week.
