WINTER TAILS presented by the Orléans Young Players Theatre School in the Richcraft Theatre of the Shenkman Arts Centre. The Beaver Family pays a vsit from Narnia to share their favourite winter and Christmas stories about Christmas presents, Reindeer and Rudolph and Olive, Fruitcakes and Kites.
Tickets: $5 children, $10 adults, group rates available. Curtain time 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 25 and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 26 and 27. For more information or to reserve admission, contact office@oypts.ca.

ORLEANS CHRISTMAS CHOIRFEST bringing together church choirs from acrooss Orléans to celebrate the season in song at the Community Pentecostal Church, 1825 St-Joseph Blvd. FREE admission and plenty of parking, however, a free collection will be taken during the intermission.

December 9 and 10

CORO VIVO OTTAWa presents "Feel the Spirit", a holiday concert featuring the work of John Rutter in an arrangement of African-American spiritual music centred on seven spirituals arranged for choir and mezzo-soprano soloist. ‘Feel the Spirit’ received its concert première at Carnegie Hall in June 2001. Rutter is one of England's best-known composers and foremost music scholars of the late 20th century. Presented under the skillful baton of Antonio Llaca, each piece is familiar and well-known, but Rutter’s interpretation makes them fresh and new. Other seasonal, renowned and favourite spirituals are included in a program to welcome the holiday season. Venue: Orleans United Church, 1111 Orleans Blvd. Time 7:30 p.m. Tickets $20. Trinity Gallery - Salons A and B

The Trinity Gallery Salons will be playing host to an exhibit by members of Arteast entitled "Mosaic" from Feb. 11 to March 15. The selected juried works display the diverse talents of the Arteast membership. The Trinity Gallery is located on the lower level of the Shenkman Arts Centre.

AOE Gallery

The AOE Arts Council Gallery will be presenting an exhibit by Heather Dubreuil entitled "Cityscapes: Collages in Cloth and Stitch" from Feb. 11 to March 13. The Gallery is located on the main level of the Shenkman Arts Centre.

Lalonde + Doyle Gallery

The Lalonde + Doyle Gallery will be hosting an exhibit by ypung Inuit artists from Cape Dorset in Nunavut. The exhibit will run Jan. 8 to Feb. 28. The gallery is located on the lower level of the Shenkman Arts Centre.

Meetings

ARTEAST OTTAWA meets the fourth Tuesday of each month (except July, August & December) at 7:30 p.m. in Room 340 at the Shenkman Arts Centre. All artists are welcome. For more information visit www.arteastottawa.com.

THE ORLEANS PHOTO CLUB meets the second Saturday of every month at the Notre Dame des Champs Community Centre, 3659 Navan Rd. Meetings begin at 9:30 a.m. New members and visitors are welcome. Visit the Club's website at http://www.cpopc.ca/.

THE CAPITAL ARTISANS GUILD meets on the third Wednesday of every month at 7:30 p.m. (except July, August & December) in the Gloucester Senior Adult Centre on the second floor of the Earl Armstrong Arena at 2020 Ogilvie Rd.
