Man killed in Hwy. 174 accident near Canaan Road

A man reported to be in his 40s is deceased after his vehicle was involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer on Hwy. 174 Tuesday evening, just east of Cumberland Village between Old Montréal Road and Canaan Road.

Police were called to the scene shortly before 10 p.m. where they found the deceased man who was the lone occupant of the vehicle. The driver of the tractor-trailer was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Investigators would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision or may have dashcam footage of this incident but has not yet spoken to police. Anyone with information should contact the Fatal Collision Investigation Unit at 613-236-1222, extension 2345.
